Amy is executive director of the Red Cross Central Iowa Chapter. Prior to joining GDMLI, Amy, a Master Certified Health Education Specialist (MCHES), focused her career on developing healthier workplaces through her work with various leading health and wellness organizations, including Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield. Jennings is an alumnus of the Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute, an alumnus of Leadership Iowa, and received a master's of science degree in Adult Learning and Organizational Performance from Drake University. She has volunteered her time to organizations including the YMCA Healthy Living Center, The Tomorrow Plan, the Greater Des Moines Young Professionals Connection, the Young Professionals of Iowa, and the Red Cross Central Iowa Chapter. Amy currently serves as board president for Center on Sustainable Communities (COSC).

Dave Hade is co-owner of Iowa Home Crafters, a residential construction company focused on energy efficiency and premium quality. Iowa Home Crafters was establised in 1989 and is located in Ames. Prior to Iowa Home Crafters he worked as a carpenter and job foreman for a local construction company. Dave is a graduate of the Building Trades program at Des Moines Area Community College and recently received the Outstanding Alumni Award. He currently serves as board vice president for Center on Sustainable Communities (COSC) and helped established the nonprofit's Builder Advisory Council. In his free time Dave enjoys bird watching, keeping his aquarium looking nice, restoring his wood lot and spending time with his family.

LYNNAE HENTZEN

Born and raised in Iowa, Lynnae attended college in Denver and the Philippines followed by a journey through S.E. Asia and Europe before finishing her B.A. in sociology at Iowa State University. She earned her M.B.A. at Keller Graduate School of Management in Chicago. Lynnae spent ten years in Chicago as an educator/analyst for the Illinois Supreme Court and business analyst for various organizations in the metro area. She served as founding executive director at Center on Sustainable Communities (COSC) from 2005-2011 and currently serves as the nonprofit's board secretary. She is a past board member of Iowa Environmental Council and the Governor’s Energy Efficiency Commission. Lynnae served on the advisory board of Traditional Home Magazine. She was the recipient of Metro Waste Authority’s Individual Environmental Stewardship award in 2007 and a member of the Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute class of 2007-08.

CHADEN HALFHILL

Chaden is owner of Silent Rivers Design + Build, Indigo Dawn and Natural Living Productions. He received a degree in Fine Art from Connecticut's Wesleyan University. As evidenced by years of sculpture addressing the environmental impact of the built environment, Halfhill advocates for conscientious design and building excellence. He is a co-founder of Center on Sustainable Communities (COSC) and is a member of its board of directors. Chaden also sits on board of Metro Arts Alliance, and has served on Clive's Public Art Commission since its inception. He remains a member of the executive committee for the Remodeler's Council of Greater Des Moines, where he served as Chairperson in 2009. Chaden and his team as Silent Rivers are the recipients of multiple Chrysalis awards for outstanding design, and have received recognition by NARI (The National Association of the Remodeling Industry) as National Contractor of the Year within several project categories. Reinforcing his passion for sustainability and pushing the envelope, Chaden has most recently undertaken the high-performance rehabilitation of a mixed-use masonry building as pilot demonstration to research and advocate for best management practices in existing buildings.

BETH HICKS

Beth is an environmental consultant with over 20 years experience in the private, public, and nonprofit sectors. She is currently a program manager for Rebuilding Together Greater Des Moines, and a freelance writer and consultant on sustainable building issues. Previously, Beth was the Director of Advancement Services for Keep Iowa Beautiful. She has also worked in project and health/safety management positions for an environmental engineering firm; managed “Buy Recycled” and industrial waste audit programs for the Iowa Department of Natural Resources; and served as board president and employee for a Wisconsin recycling nonprofit. Beth is a co-founder of Center on Sustainable Communities (COSC) and serves on its board of directors.

MATT DAUNIS

Matt has 35 years of HVAC and electric and natural gas utility energy efficiency program experience, including ten years with Carrier Air Conditioning Company in various HVAC sales and marketing positions in Cincinnati, Syracuse, and Omaha; ten years with MidAmerican Energy Company in various energy efficiency, sales, marketing, and administrative positions in Council Bluffs, Des Moines, and Davenport; and 15 years with the former Aquila and presently with Black Hills Energy as Director of Energy Efficiency Programs. He is a member of the Association of Energy Services Professionals and on serves on the Boards of Directors of the Iowa Association of Energy Efficiency and Center on Sustainable Communities (COSC). Matt earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maine and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska.

BONNIE DONNOLLY

Bonnie joined Alliant Energy in 2000 and currently serves as Manager of Energy Efficiency Programs for Iowa and Minnesota. Alliant Energy is an energy-services provider serving approximately 1 million electric and over 400,000 natural gas customers in Iowa, Minnesota and Wisconsin. Bonnie directs a ten-member team that develops and delivers energy efficiency programs for Residential, Business, Commercial, Industrial and Agriculture customers. Alliant Energy has offered energy efficiency programs for over 20 year. Prior to Alliant Energy, Bonnie worked in healthcare administration and philanthropy, community development and college recruitment. Bonnie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications/Public Relations from the University of Northern Iowa.

LONNIE GAMBLE

Lonnie Gamble is a founding faculty member in MUM's Sustainable Living department. His expertise includes renewable energy, food and agriculture, sustainable economics and local alternatives to the global economy, permaculture design, and green building. He regularly presents and writes on these issues. Lonnie has founded many for-profit and non-profit sustainability ventures, including Abundance Ecovillage, the Sustainable Living coalition, Big Green Summer, Abundant Planet Radio collective, and five companies in the area of renewal energy and telecommunications. He has been teaching, developing sustainability curriculum, and mentoring students since 1996. He has a degree in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University. Lonnie and his wife live in a straw bale home, where they harvest rain for water supply, get their electricity from solar and wind power, and eat something fresh every day from their extensive gardens. They haven't paid an electric bill in 15 years.

SUSAN JUDKINS JOSTEN

Susan has extensive experience with community and economic development in both public and private organizations. Prior to joining KJWW in 2013, Susan worked as Intergovernmental Affairs Director for the Rebuild Iowa Office, a temporary state agency established to support recovery from Iowa’s 2008 weather disasters and plan for future mitigation and recovery. She previously served as Vice President for Piper Jaffray, assisting cities and counties with project financing; provided government relations connections and advocacy for cities as Director of Governmental Affairs for the Iowa League of Cities; and implemented the Vision Iowa program as its first program manager while with the Iowa Department of Economic Development. Susan also served as Executive Director for the Warren County Economic Development Corporation. Susan currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Center on Sustainable Communities (COSC). She received her BA in Business Management from Simpson College and MBA from the University of Iowa.

DIANE MUNNS

Diane is the Vice President of Regulatory Relations and Energy Efficiency for MidAmerican Energy Company in Des Moines, Iowa. Previously she was the executive director of Retail Energy Services for Edison Electric Institute (EEI), the trade association for the nation’s investor-owned utilities in Washington D.C. In that post, she was responsible for the EEI’s efforts on energy efficiency and worked to establish the Institute for Electric Efficiency, funded by the Edison Foundation. Diane was a member of the Iowa Utilities Board from 1999-2006 and served as its chairman for four years. While a member of the Iowa Utilities Board, she served two years as the president of the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC). She focused on the role of regulation in efficiency during her tenure as NAUC president and, along with Jim Rogers of Duke Energy, became the first co-chair of the National Action Plan for Energy Efficiency. Diane currently serves as a board member for Center on Sustainable Communities (COSC). She was recipient of the Public Service Leadership Award from the U.S. Energy Association and Johnson Controls at its 17th Annual Energy Efficiency Forum in 2006. Diane was awarded the MEEA Inspiring Efficiency Leadership Award that same year.

JONATHAN ROSENBLOOM

While studying architecture, Jonathan realized that the buildings he was designing could not fully address the social, economic and environmental challenges the inhabitants faced. After obtaining an architecture degree at Rhode Island School of Design Jonathan graduated from New York Law School and received a Masters of Laws from Harvard Law School. He authored several publications, including the forthcoming "Uncommon Approaches to Common Problems: The Case of Climate Change." Jonathan currently serves as board member for Urban Ambassadors, Iowa Environmental Council, Community! Youth Concepts, and Center on Sustainable Communities. His accomplishments include co-founding an organization designed to assist state and local governments on becoming more sustainable and efficient through environmentally friendly and socially responsible measures; and serving as original board member of Drew's Team, a non-profit assisting families and individuals affected by cystic fibrosis. He currently teaches law courses related to the environment, property, and state and local government.

AARON TODD

Aaron has dedicated much of his professional career and volunteer efforts to community sustainability. Aaron currently works for the Iowa Legislative Services Agency and was formerly an executive officer of the Rebuild Iowa Office (RIO), where he worked with numerous flood-impacted communities to develop recovery plans that emphasize sustainability and authored legislation that provides guidance for sustainable community planning statewide. Aaron received his bachelor's degree in community and regional planning from Iowa State University and a Master of Public Policy from Rutgers University. Aaron is founding president of the 6th Avenue Corridor Main Street nonprofit, which builds support and executes strategies for revitalization of a historic commercial district in north Des Moines. He also participated in the 2011 Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute program, and serves on the Urban Design Review Board for the City of Des Moines. Aaron serves as board member for the Center on Sustainable Communities (COSC).

JENNIFER VOORHEES, LEED AP ID+C

Jennifer is a Registered Interior Designer, LEED AP ID+C and owner of Facilities Design Group focusing her energy and expertise towards sustainability and the design of the environment. As the current Vice Chair of USGBC Iowa, Jennifer has also served as the At-Large Representative for the USGBC Heartland Regional Committee. She is a member of the Iowa Interior Design Examining Board and was a key advocate in achieving interior design registration in Iowa. Additionally, she has held leadership positions with the Great Plains Chapter of the International Interior Design Association and the Central Iowa Chapter of the International Facilities Management Association. Jennifer has a BS in Interior Design and an MS in Ergonomics from Iowa State University. She is also an alumnus of Leadership Iowa. Jennifer has been actively involved with the Center for Sustainable Communities since 2009 and currently serves as board member.
