Overview

In support of Corning's "Iowa House", COSC presents its in-depth 10-part series teaching best practices techniques for building affordable, energy efficient, durable, healthy and environmentally sound homes. The workshops began in October 2010 and will continue as condensed sessions in January 2011. Contractors, subcontractors, planners, architects, appraisers, city officials and other professionals who attend will gain a comprehensive understanding of green building from the ground up. A 3-session series for homeowners will be available in the spring of 2011.

Note:
COSC has recently been named a U. S. Green Building Council (USGBC) Education Provider to offer courses approved for credit toward Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Credential Maintenance Program. Courses in the Corning Affordable Green Building Training series are being submitted for approval to provide attendees with Green Building Certification Institute Continuing Education (GBCI CE) credit hours.

Certificate of Completion:
Upon successful completion of the ten-module Corning Affordable Green Building Training series, attendees may earn a Certificate of Completion presented by COSC.
