COSC's History
Formally organized in February of 2005, as a 501(c)(3) Non-profit with three founding board members, COSC currently has 13 Governing Board members, 240 memberships and over 500 active members.
Focused on brining much needed green building education and resources to professionals and homeowners, COSC has hosted 13 topic specific lunch-n-learns, three multi-day professional workshops, a lecture and community forum with author/architect Sarah Susanka, hands-on product workshops, tours of sustainable communities and open houses of sustainable projects and businesses.
2005:

Received grants from Metro Waste Authority and Iowa Energy Center to host a Residential Green Building Stakeholder Workshop with Marc Richmond, of What's Working, Inc., Boulder, CO.
